The natural beauty of Muong Hoa valley
Flowing into this stream are about 22 small streams originating from forests and ravines. Hence, the stream always murmurs and echoes all four seasons. To facilitate the movement, residents living nearby have made small bridges across the stream beside the ancient trees, contributing to the beauty of the stream and also attracting a lot of tourists to Sapa.
Throughout the length of the stream, there are many waterfalls with white stones seemingly created and arranged elaborately by an invisible hand. Notably, the vast and flat stream section in Ta Van has become an ideal bathing place for travelers.
The ethnic people in Muong Hoa valley
In addition to the poetic beauty, Muong Hoa valley also attracts tourists by an ancient mysterious stone area, interspersed between trees and terraced fields of ethnic people here.
Stretching with a length of more than 4km, a width of 2km and at least 159 stones containing many mysterious images, the stone area was once the focus of research of many Vietnamese, Russian and French scientists. Hundreds of sandstones bringing strange drawings and characters so far have not been identified about the origin and meaning.
The ancient stone complex has stones with beautiful carvings, concentrated in Pho village. There are many large stones with different shapes on the surface, especially the humanoid forms in many postures such as spreading hands, upside down, holding hands, or having figures of people expressing the belief of worshiping the atmosphere as the drawings on Dong Son bronze drums, etc.
